Mazatlan Mexico

Having flown across the vast country of Mexico from the Yucatan Peninsula to Mazatlan on the Pacific Ocean via Mexico City, I have finally arrived safely at my dear friend Katie's. We had a super reunion and it felt like coming home to see her again.

To my friends and family, I am here for just over a month and Katie and I are just "hanging out" - its incredibly hot and when I walked to the ocean beach early this morning I could not believe the temperature of the water. It was as warm as a bath. This is not a swimming pool but the Pacific Ocean......I have caught up with a few of the old friends from last year but most have left this furnace for cooler places until later this year. Katie's gorgeous condo is air conditioned, so we relax in cool comfort during the heat of the day either playing serious cards, watching old movies, reading, or for me writing chapters in my book. We intend to spend some days out socialising or heading for the hills where it is cooler. I may also trek down to Puerto Vallarta for a few days if I can find some cheap lodgings.

I cannot get internet access here on my computer as I thought so will check emails as regularly as I can on hers. Please be patient if you are trying to contact me.
