Having a great love for living, traveling and discovering, life is what you make of it. I believe in honesty, openness, love and integrity. I love to laugh and need to do it more often, although I am usually smiling, I am known for my enthusiasm & motivation. Being healthy is not just your diet, it is a holistic mix of your spiritual being, emotions and body. I strive to balance it all. A work in progress......:)

Heavens are smiling

The last two weeks have been totally heavenly. Unless you have experienced the Caribbean it really is hard to describe the magic of these islands. To wake up on board with the boat slowly rocking on the warm pristine turquoise waters, to snorkel with gentle schools of fish who allow you to swim amongst them whilst watching the swaying of brightly coloured sea fans, corals, rocky caverns and shells is just heaven. The island life is so lay back and happy. Everywhere you walk you hear the mix of reggae and steel pan music. Workers on buildings or small open air cafe's have it playing. Beautiful black faces smile at you! It is almost impossible to not jig or sway to the sounds in the air.

I am on a 52 foot single hull boat of sheer luxury. The interior is lined with beautiful timber and every conceivable comfort. I have a spacious gorgeous cabin with my own head and shower with hot water galore! Topside the winches are electric and self tailing! A magnificent boat! For its size, an easy boat to sail. The lady skipper, Mora and I have hit it off like a couple of old school friends. I totally admire this wonderful woman who is not only incredibly capable but gorgeous to boot! She is so warm and genuine! We are both into health food and lots of exercise, therefore having a happy time together before she goes back to the US.

We have a few plans for the next weeks when I will be returning to my parents Caribbean house to spend the last week with them before they return to Europe. After that I will spend a months sabbatical there on my own - the house is on the water amongst a coconut grove with the water lapping constantly! I will write more of my book and study my SLR camera! I leave the British Virgin Islands mid July when I head for Miami. From there I will more than likely head to Mexico to catch up with the wonderful friends I met last year!
