Painting like crazy

As it has been a more than a couple of weeks since my last post I thought it prudent to write a few words to dispel any fears that I may been deported or kidnapped by pirates!

In essence, I am painting like crazy, much to the detriment of my shoulders, I get up at 6.00am and am painting by 7.00am - I am at it in this UNBELIEVABLE HEAT until dusk around 6.30pm. Then I collapse into the warm tropical water at our beach before dragging myself into the house to eat and sleep, only to do it all again the next day. Why? Well the original guy who quoted for the job basically "under quoted" and has now walked away from the job when he realised how much work was involved. Yeah, good one, thanks a lot!! The good thing is that he left me with a FABULOUS young professional man named Shane who works not only professionally but is reliable with a great work ethic. Together we are working like proverbial dogs to get these cottages finished for my Dad! The things you do for love!!!

We are changing the cottage exteriors from old worn yukky reddy brown stain to white with blue trim. They look stunning so far. I have made lovely window swags and am replacing all old rusty cupboard knobs and hinges with fresh white ones.
