It's been so hot here with the terrible bushfires the photos that are emerging from this searing heat are just touching! Our native animals, especially koalas, that usually get enough moisture from gum leaves are dehydrating and searching out water.
We have all seen the story of Sam the koala, but here are a few other pictures of her cousins also in search of a drink or just collapsing in the awful heat. 
The death toll in regard to human loss has now risen to over 200.
