Sam the koala became famous when she drank 2-3 bottles of water from fireman David.
Photo of her drinking from the bottle was posted on my story "Cooler Weather" written a week or so ago!
She was taken to Mountain Ash Wildlife Centre where she was nursed by carer Jenny who said she suffered severe burns to her paws. She would have been in a lot of pain but was on the road to recovery. As you can see here on the photo, her little paws are all bandaged up to expediate recovery.
She is very docile and will need regular attention but should be able to be released into the wild in about 5 months. Don't you just feel like picking her up and cuddling her?
We salute fireman Dave and all the brave fire fighters who risked their own lives to save all surrounding communities!
