Another amazing year has flown by and we are about to enter 2010. It seems only yesterday that we were all waiting for the millennium and the much feared Y2K! - how time seems to race! New Year's Day here in Melbourne Australia has brought predicted rain that continues to fall after a couple of days of high temperatures heading towards 40C degrees. My dear friends and I had planned to watch Melbourne's fireworks with a combined picnic on the beach but a band of storm clouds hit the city around 9pm. As you can see in the photo from The Age, the clouds were dark and intimidating! We decided to play it safe and stay indoors enjoying a relaxing dry night chatting and watching the fireworks on television! Thunder, lightning and a heavy downpour hit our city but abated towards midnight to enable a spectacle of bright and colourful lights to adorn our skies!Yachts racing in the Sydney to Hobart had a safe calm passage, my daughter and partner are in town, the earth has had a good soak of much needed rain and I had a wonderful long chat with my Dad and other family! Life is good!
"Happy New Year" to all reading this post and may 2010 bring you great health, love, happiness, laughter, good friends, success in business and safe travel!
Cheers to all!
