Melbourne Earthquake magnitude 5.2

Michelle and I were sitting at her kitchen table eating her delicious olive and anchovy pasta and happily chatting away when it started. I first thought a large truck was rumbling along Glenhuntly Road, but very quickly realised it was something far stronger!

Melbourne had again been struck by an earthquake! This time a stronger 5.2 on the Richter scale and it shook from one end of Victoria to the other. For us it continued for some 30-40 seconds. The dinner table shook as did the whole room. Kind of scary....

Here is a segment from the NineMSM website posted some 40 minutes after the hit:-

"Windows were rattled and floors rocked as the tremor hit around 8.55pm (AEST) and lasted for around 30 to 40 seconds.
The US Geological Survey website registered a 5.2-magnitude quake 10km southwest of Moe, at a depth of 9.9km.
The Bureau of Meteorology said it was receiving reports of the quake from Bright and Myrtleford in the northeast and Wonthaggi in the southeast of Victoria."

It does of course, leave one obvious question...."Did the earth move for you too?"

The aftermath at Coles in Wonthaggi, photo taken and posted on the NineMSM site within an hour of the quake!
