Magic Munich!

The snow crunches beneath my feet as I hurriedly walk down the street
to catch the train into town.
It is dark and the air is filled with snow flakes that flutter lazily to the ground.
As I sit and wait for the train to wind itself around the bend
an old song enters my head, and I quietly sing it to the end.
The first few lines are the same but then they change........

"I'm sitting at a railway station
Got a ticket to my destination
Yeah!"............
All my dreams are rolled in one as I watch the snowflakes fall
around me!
The temperature is five below
The moon is high and round.
My nose is cold
My feet are warm
I'm happy in this winter storm,
I am alone, but not for long
This magic Christmas spirit strong!
Festive markets beckon me
the lights
the trees
the hot spiced tea
steaming in the freezing air.
Laughing faces, Christmas sounds
friends 'n family wander round.
Lovers kiss as they embrace and gaze in wonder at this magic place.
Fairy tale buildings historic and old
surround this market, lit up, so bold.
Gargoyles stare and dragons of stone watch the gaiety
in a quest unknown.
I hear you whisper, almost feel you near
and close my eyes to bring you here.
The winter sun has set.
The evening begins.

Her magic heavy with violins.
I feel your presence although you're not there.
I step onto the ancient stones
and weave my way through market lanes.
My face all smiles
My eyes are bright
It is an evening to delight.
I am in Munich with family near
Festive lights and Christmas cheer!!
